I picked up a Mauser Deluxe that has been rebarreled to.220 Swift. I was surprised not to see a serial number on the receiver. I expected to see it on the right side front. Is that really the serial number of this gun? Advanced Search. I've also a Swedish 8mm mauser barrel that has the serial number stamped on the barrel. The same number should be repeated on the underside of the bolt handle. If both numbers match, the rifle has its original bolt.
